I work with a wide variety of decks, including at the moment two different tarot decks and a large assortment of oracle decks. While tarot is the most versatile, as it is meant to cover all potential aspects of life, each deck has its own unique style of conveying the meaning through the imagery of the deck, and so some decks may be more appropriate for some clients or questions than others. With oracle decks, the variance is even more notable. Decks can focus on wildly different themes, and so may be quite limited in what types of topics or perspectives they are useful in providing insight into. All of the spreads below can be done with all of the decks I work with - determining which one is most appropriate for your personal question is something that can be discussed at the beginning of the reading process, when identifying what topic or question you need guidance on or insight into at this time.

The Celtic Cross

This is one of the most well-known (and most complex) card spreads, and allows you to delve deeply into the origin, nature, influences on, and currently likely outcome of any matter. This reading is ideal for addressing long-term situations, or repetitive situations that may feel like they are reoccurring in your life despite your best efforts. Alternatively, it could be that the situation is new and looms large within your life, but is difficult to approach for lack of certainty about how the situation came to be or the full scope of factors it involves. In either case, this spread is designed to bring you clarity, insight, and empowerment.
The Horizon Star

Are you going through a period of tumultous shifts or complex change? Do you feel that it's difficult to see what decisions feel best for you at this time, due to the different aspects of your being feeling jumbled or out of alignment with one another? If so, this may be the reading for you. Centered around a card that represents the core of the matter you're facing, the five cards at the points of the star represent the states of your body, heart, mind, will, and spirit. The line of three cards making up the horizon of change above which the star shines, shows you what concrete steps to take to bring all five parts of your being into harmony.

Tree of the Ancestors

This spread is designed to help you understand what work you may be called to do with or for your ancestors- both the origins of the need for this work, and the ways it is possible for you to manifest it. It can also help you zero in on parts of your ancestry that most call for your attention right now and to understand why these parts of your heritage specifically are very relevant at this time. The cards that make up the roots of the tree represent the parts of your ancestry or some specific ancestors you may need to work with, and provide insight into why. The cards that comprise the branches show you what this work involves.

The Pyramid of Resolution

This spread was designed to aid in conflict resolution. The bottom row, of three cards, represents each of two people/perspectives involved in a conflict on either side of a card that represents the heart of the conflict itself. The middle row represents what each person must learn, understand, or accept about the other person's perspective in order to come to a resolution. The top most card explains what an effective resolution of the conflict is most likely to result in. Though this spread was originally invented to help address the needs of resolving interpersonal conflict, it can also be applied to resolving internal conflict as well.

The Compass

The Compass is the perfect spread for the times you need guidance and clarity on deciding among several possible courses of action to take or several possible ways to address a given situation. The card at the center represents the situation at large or the "destination" you are seeking. The cards at the compass points represent potential directions to go in or possible "routes" to your destination. Using a pendulum, the most optimum of those choices is identified, and then a sixth card is selected that illuminates why that choice is most ideal for you.

Detailed Chronological Reading

This is a past-present-future oriented reading, in chronological order. It is well-suited to questions about situations that have been long-term or about a series of events that has had many steps. It breaks the past-related information down into two areas: The way the situation or chain of events began and the things that have brought you from that beginning point to the present. The present is represented by a single card in the centre. The future is likewise broken down into two areas: the things that will bring the situation to its resolution, and the resolution itself.

Levels of Consciousness

This spread, while simple, is one that can be deeply useful when you feel that the different levels of your thinking, perspective, or being are out of alignment or somehow not in sync. It contains one card representing the state of your subconscious, one your conscious mind, and one your super-conscious (which is also known as the higher self). This spread can show you where and why these different levels of your being are out of tune with one another, as well as provide insight into how to go about bringing them into alignment.
